A new air miles credit card has taken off that offers no limit on the number of points you can earn and no black-out dates for travel. Orbitz and Juniper Bank have teamed to offer the Orbitz Platinum MasterCard. The new card offers consumers the opportunity to earn Orbitz Rewards points that can be redeemed for discounted or free airline tickets on Orbitz.com. Platinum cardholders will receive two Rewards points for every dollar spent on airline tickets purchased on Orbitz using the Orbitz Platinum MasterCard and one Rewards point for every dollar spent everywhere else. In addition, with every 7,500 points earned, cardholders may receive $100 off airfares purchased on Orbitz using the new co-branded MasterCard. Travelers also have the option to redeem 20,000 points for a free round-trip, coach-class ticket worth up to $400 in value to travel anywhere in the continental U.S. with a 21-day advance purchase and a Saturday night stay. The Orbitz Platinum MasterCard carries a $39 annual fee for a standard MasterCard and a $49 annual fee for Platinum.
