Gift cards are exploding across the USA with sales expected to rise from $1 billion last year to $15 billion next year. As a result, Bank of America, the largest issuer of VISA gift cards, is going whole hog by doubling its portfolio of choices. Also included in the new offerings are ten cards that target businesses. The new designs complement BofA’s existing “Brushstrokes Series” gift cards. The Bank of America VISA Gift Card can be purchased in any whole dollar amount from $25 to $600. A service charge based on the denomination purchased includes handling and shipping to the recipient. Bank of America VISA Gift Card denominations range from $25 to $300 and cost $5.95 per card. For denominations between $301 and $600, handling and shipping is $7.95 per card.
