Seven out of ten households in Washington, D.C., Pittsburgh, and San Antonio plan to hold “Super Bowl” parties. Nationally a Visa survey found that 66% of households will party on February 1st and shell-out $172 on average for the festivities. New York City “Super Bowl” celebrators will pony up $226 per party, followed by Orlando ($199), San Francisco ($192), Chicago ($191), Miami ($189) and Los Angeles ($186). Visa announced it has reached agreements with nineteen state governments to donate the “Financial Football” game and accompanying financial education curriculum to every high school in those states.
