American Express Canada has introduced the Fixed Points Travel Program, offering Cardmembers ultimate flexibility and choice. The new program is available to eligible Canadian Cardmembers enrolled in the Membership Rewards program, giving them the ability to book flights within Canada or to anywhere in the world, on any airline, for fixed point amounts.
Additionally, Cardmembers have the option to choose from Economy or Business Class flights, last minute bookings right up to a day before departure, and can use their points to pay for taxes, fees and other surcharges.
Cardmembers can redeem their Membership Rewards® points for flights in just 3 easy steps:
1 Log in to their account at americanexpress.ca/fixedpointstravel.
2 Search for the flight and dates of choice.
3 Redeem points.
The Fixed Points Travel Program Overview
The fixed points required cover up to the maximum base ticket price for airfares (excluding taxes, fees and other surcharges) – if the ticket price at the time of booking exceeds that maximum base ticket price, Cardmembers can choose to pay for the difference with their American Express Card or use additional Membership Rewards points. Points can also be used to pay for taxes, fees and other surcharges.
About the Membership Rewards Program
The Membership Rewards program allows Cardmembers to earn points for eligible purchases charged on enrolled American Express Cards. Through the Membership Rewards program, Cardmembers are able to use options such as Use Points for Purchases, merchandise or gift card redemptions, Pay with Points at Amazon.ca and Ticketmaster, and 1:1 transfer to frequent flyer programs. Points have no expiration date, and there is no limit on the number of points a Cardmember can earn.
