HEALTHSOUTH Corporation (NYSE:HRC), the official healthcare provider for the USA/VISA Decathlon Team, and Visa U.S.A., the team’s title sponsor since 1990, today launched a joint program with the sports team they already support with quality sports medicine services and financial resources.
The USA/VISA Decathlon Team is now featured on a new Visa poster that will be displayed in HEALTHSOUTH facilities. The poster is part of a complete HEALTHSOUTH implementation package that will outline procedures to improve administrative productivity and efficiency, and make collection of patient receivables easier and more effective. The package will also include innovative methods and payment options that providers can offer to help patients better manage healthcare.

HEALTHSOUTH is the nation’s largest provider of outpatient and rehabilitative healthcare services, with more than 900 locations in 45 states. HEALTHSOUTH currently provides sports medicine coverage for the more than 100 colleges and universities across the country and over 600 high schools. Coverage is also provided for 11 National Football League teams, 10 National Basketball Association teams, 12 major league and two National Hockey League teams. HEALTHSOUTH is currently building the $4 million Richard M. Scrushy/HEALTHSOUTH Sports Medicine Center in Colorado Springs as part of the United States Olympic Committee’s enhancement to the Colorado Springs Sports Complex. HEALTHSOUTH has provided sports medicine coverage for the USA/VISA Decathlon Team since 1993.

In 1995, Visa healthcare transactions exceeded $6.6 billion, a 34 percent increase over 1994. Today, over 220,000 healthcare facilities nationwide accept Visa for payment, including 95 percent of hospitals, 80 percent of dentists and 51 percent of physicians .
