CIBC and Air Canada Vacations today launched a new VISA card that will bring its holders one step closer to their dream vacations every time they use it.
Each time a cardholder makes a purchase with the CIBC VacationGOLD VISA card, one per cent of the value goes toward the purchase of an Air Canada Vacations package. VacationGOLD also offers its holders triple rewards when they use it to buy an Air Canada Vacations package at any travel agent.
Other features of the CIBC VacationGOLD VISA card:
-No minimum or maximum on the amount of reward money that can be earned or redeemed
-Automatic out-of-province CIBC Travel Medical Insurance for trips up to 15 days
-Commission-free travellers cheques from any CIBC branch
-24-hour access to cash advances up to $1,000 daily at automated banking machines
-Low $39 annual fee, plus free supplementary cards
-Minimum $5,000 credit limit.

Customers can try the VacationGOLD VISA card free of charge for six months if they apply before December 31, 1996. Applications will be available September 3 in CIBC branches and in Air Canada Vacations brochures at travel agencies.
Air Canada Vacations offers a host of vacation choices – all including Air Canada flights – in North America, Europe and Israel, as well as sun and ski holidays. Travellers will find Air Canada Vacations’ brochures and may book their ACV holiday at travel agencies across Canada. One of Canada’s largest tour operators, ACV is a wholly owned subsidiary of Air Canada.
