Credit Lyonnais AmEx Corp Card

American Express signed up another banking partner yesterday with the announcement of the ‘Credit Lyonnais American Express Corporate Card’. Credit Lyonnais will offer the card to French corporations. Details of the program are still being negotiated however current plans call for a launch before June 30. The program represents the first American Express banking partner to offer a co-branded corporate card to customers outside the U.S. Last November AmEx and Qantas co-branded a corporate card in Australia and in December plans were announced for an AmEx-United Airlines-National Westminster corporate card.

Credit Lyonnais and American Express today announced that they will launch a new Credit Lyonnais American Express Corporate Card.

The card, to be launched during the 2nd quarter, will carry the Credit Lyonnais name and logo, together with the familiar American Express blue box symbol and will be marketed by Credit Lyonnais to its corporate clients. This card is designed for use by French corporations to help them better manage their business and travel related expenses and will be welcomed by merchants who accept the American Express card worldwide.

Charles Petruccelli, President Travel Services Group International at American Express commented “We are extremely pleased that Credit Lyonnais has chosen to become the first American Express banking partner to offer a co-branded corporate card to their customers outside the U.S. This partnership will allow American Express to leverage the global infrastructure we have built to help companies of all sizes manage their travel and entertainment expenses.”

For Credit Lyonnais, this agreement provides the opportunity to offer their corporate customers access to the world’s leading corporate card product which delivers unequalled quality of service and cost effectively meets expense management needs.
