VISA-Alamo Travel Smart Program

Alamo Rent A Car announced today its new partnership with Visa(R) U.S.A. to offer an exciting summer “Travel Smart(SM) Bonus Extras” program. Travelers who rent a car from Alamo for two or more days between May 18 and July 20, 1997, and pay with their Visa(R) card, are eligible to receive five valuable savings certificates from the program’s partners at the time of rental.

Certificates can be used to save on future trips with Alamo, American Airlines(R), and Hyatt Resorts(R), as well as save double by using two certificates on their current trip to Anheuser-Busch Theme Parks(TM). Customers need only use their Visa card for payment.

Alamo customers can use their certificates to earn one free day on a future rental of 3 to 14 days in the U.S. or Canada. Advance reservations are required and payment must be made with a VISA card. Certificates must be presented at the time of rental, at an Alamo counter. This offer is valid through February 14, 1998. Blackout dates apply.

“Alamo is pleased and excited about this opportunity to team up with Visa to offer our customers these exceptional value-added “Travel Smart” savings certificates in partnership with Hyatt Resorts, American Airlines and Busch Theme Parks,” said Karen Beard, Alamo’s senior vice president, sales and marketing.

Travelers on American Airlines or American Eagle can save $75 if they pay with a Visa card by March 31, 1998, on future trips within the contiguous 48 United States or from the contiguous 48 United States to Canada. Certificates must be surrendered when the ticket is purchased and blackout dates apply.

Visitors to Anheuser-Busch Theme Parks can save double with two certificates. For example, travelers can save $5.00 on a one-day admission for up to six people at: SeaWorld(R); Busch Gardens(R); Water Country USA(R); Adventure Island(R); and Sesame Place, through December 31, 1997.

Visitors can discover the unique world of Hyatt Resorts(R) with a Free Night and a complimentary upgrade at participating Hyatt Resorts between June 1 and October 31, 1997, when payment is made with a Visa card. Certificate must be presented at time of check-in. Blackout dates and some restrictions may apply.
