The Wal-Mart MasterCard Basic and Gold Cards from Chase have received the highest customer satisfaction ranking in the J.D. Power and Associates 1998 Comprehensive Credit Cardholder Satisfaction Study. With no annual fee, a low fixed annual percentage rate of 14.48 percent on purchases, and 9.9 percent APR on balance transfers for the life of the loan, the Wal-Mart card is a hit with consumers.
The Powers study surveyed 12,082 consumers, who indicated that customer service was their most important consideration, followed by card servicing, the reputation of the financial institution, pricing issues, reward features, credit lines, and payment policies such as grace periods.

Two additional features that make the Chase Wal-Mart card attractive to consumers: they can opt to have their photo added to the card for enhanced security; and they may choose their own billing due dates at the beginning, middle or end of the month.

Wal-Mart operates 1,862 stores, 544 Supercenters, and 451 Sams Clubs in the United States, as well as locations in Argentina, Brazil, Canada, Germany, Mexico, Puerto Rico, China and Korea, employing more than 895,000 associates worldwide.
