Nearly half the fathers surveyed (47%) said they have at some point shopped online, including 32% of fathers age 55 and over. Fathers age 18-34 shopped online the most, with 61% indicating they have shopped online. The survey revealed that clothing and accessories is the top item on fathers’ gift lists (24%). The second most popular gift requested by fathers is music and books (22%), followed by sports and fitness equipment (19%). Participants of the survey were asked which TV dad most epitomizes the ideal father figure and Cliff Huxtable from “The Cosby Show” came in at number one with 39% of respondents naming him the ideal father figure. Coming in behind Cliff Huxtable were Howard Cunningham from “Happy Days” (17%) and Ward Cleaver from “Leave It To Beaver” (15% percent).
