Universal Card

The ultimate entertainment rewards MasterCard has been launched by Chase. The new “Universal Entertainment MasterCard from Chase” offers cardholders the opportunity to redeem reward points for unique Hollywood experiences, including tickets to celebrity events, spending a day on a television or movie set, backstage concert passes, and walking the red carpet at a movie premiere. Cardholders will earn one point per dollar on all everyday purchases and two points per dollar spent at select Universal Parks & Resorts retail locations. Cardholders receive 1,000 bonus Universal points when they make their first purchase. Points can also be redeemed for movie and concert tickets, DVDs, CDs, and advance movie screenings. Other card benefits include: complimentary Emusic downloads; invitations to advance movie screenings; 10% off select Universal Parks & Resorts tickets purchased online; and, discounts on select purchases at Universal Parks & Resorts. The new card offers a fixed 0% introductory interest rate for 9 months from account opening. The APR then goes to a variable 12.24% for “Platinum MasterCard” and a variable 14.24% for “Standard MasterCard.” Higher risk cardholders are charged a variable 19.49% rate.
