National Guard Card

In a major solicitation push, the National Guard is targeting teens for a look-a-like credit card offering $60,000 in pay and other benefits. However, the card touts itself as a “Money In The Bank” card and not a credit card. Under the program, teens can $20,000 as an enlistment bonus; $10,638 for books and fees; $12,400 to cover additional college costs; and a $4,500 annual scholarship. The solicitation comes as the National Guard has been under stress recruiting for Iraq service. Today, tens of thousands of “Guardmembers” are serving in harm’s way in Iraq and Afghanistan.
