Fair Prices?

The nation’s “King of Convenience for a Price” is taking on the payment card industry with a petition campaign to lower its credit card fees. About 6,300 7-Eleven stores have joined the campaign asking customers, including kids, to sign a petition at the check-out counter. Between now and August 10th, 7-Eleven is aiming to collect more than one million signatures to send Congress, protesting “unfair” merchant credit card fees. At the conclusion of the campaign, the top signature-gatherers from each of 7-Elevens seven U.S. geographical divisions will be flown to Washington to personally deliver the signatures to Congress. 7-Eleven says credit card transaction fees are “unfair” and “excessive.” The irony is that more than 90% of its business is cash and it is generally recognized that 7-Eleven product prices are “unfair” and “excessive.” For more information visit: “www.7-Eleven.com”:http://www.7-Eleven.com
