Wells Fargo has released its list of tips to keep you safe and prevent fraud, as found in the “2011 Identity Fraud Survey Report” from Javelin Strategy & Research. With identity fraud incidents in 2010 having declined 28% throughout 2009, the Bank is encouraging you to do your part to keep this figure down, advising you keep your computer operating system up-to-date with regularly updated anti-virus software. Additionally, Wells Fargo wants you tochange passwords often; use official mobile apps from reputable sources only; go paperless and monitor, avoiding paper mail; and to review your credit report at least once a year.
